12 Favorite Problems

I am taking Write Of Passage, a 5 week writing course led by David Perell. In the first class we created a list of our favorite problems. David mentioned that these problems can be used as a foundation as to finding ideas/themes to write about.

One day I will switch these to my 12 Favorite Solutions 🙂

1. Why do we focus so much on problems vs. solutions? Like why were we not ask to create our favorite solutions? How can we look more at the positive vs. the negative as a society?

2. Why is society losing drive and motivation to do better? Endless problems, and feel like making no progress. How can this be improved? How can we make a meaningful dent on environment, societal, world issues, etc.

3. Why are we are trending towards becoming robots? Being programmed to think alike? Dress alike? act alike? Being shamed if we are different? Why do people want so badly to be like everyone else? To think the same as everyone else? and to follow the rules like everyone else? Perfection is idolized. Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most visited landmark because it is not perfect.

4. What if people looked at billionaires as disgusting/greedy? Problem. Money is idolized. Why have we let money be idolized and have as much power as it has?

5. How can I be happy with the way it is today vs. always wanting the projects to be better. Project: companies, writing, art, etc.

6. Why am I on planet earth at this time and what does this incarnation mean for me?

7. Do we need to work 50+ hours a week? Do we need to live in cities?  Why does the majority of society follow this narrative or living in a city and working 50+ hours per week?

8. How can I be authentic in my writing?

9. How do I get to the bigger version of me from the present version of me?

10. What is my unique perspective of this world? What is unique to me?

11. How can we take responsibility for our relationship with fear and move away from a fear based society to a love based society?

12. Majority of problems may be solved better with energy/support vs. money. Why do we keep throwing money at the situation thinking we are doing it good?
